28 July was a significant date for Rekha. It was three years since her diagnosis with breast cancer, and mentally she’s in a good place. She puts that down to the support of North London Hospice.

Alex is a keen bird watcher and loves all wildlife, but when he began to feel unwell, it was the strange behaviour of his cat, Rosie, that persuaded him to visit his GP and shortly afterwards he was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

A garden bench at North London Hospice – Enfield has been dramatically transformed into a stunning centrepiece for patients, staff and visitors alike to enjoy – thanks to the charity’s knitting group.
