Improving access to North London Hospice services

One of our Priorities for Improvement Projects this year is to seek ways of improving access to communities that we are not reaching or that are finding it hard to reach us.

Initially we did some research to identify those people who are not currently accessing our services. We also liaised with Healthwatch in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, Westminster Drugs Project and the Substance Misuse Service in Barnet and Harrow

Based on our findings, we decided to focus on the following groups:

  • People with learning disabilities,
  • Homeless people (those also associated with substance misuse )
  • The most prevalent cultural groups in our areas.

Additional members of staff have been appointed to help with this project.
