Run A Marathon for NLH – & You Don’t Even Need To Leave Home!
Set yourself the challenge to run or walk 26.2 miles to raise funds for North London Hospice. This doesn’t have to be in one go – you could set a time limit of one week or one month to cover the distance, and you could do this in your garden, around your house or on the treadmill if you have one.
It’s a great way to keep or get fit and raise money for North London Hospice, which has seen a huge drop in vital income to fund its services due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
It’s easy to take part – there’s no registration fee – but please let us know you’re taking up the challenge by filling in the form at the bottom of the page so we have your contact details and can send you a medal for your efforts once the challenge is completed!
The easiest way to ask your family and friends to sponsor your challenge is to set up an online fundraising page. A guide on how to do that is here.
Track your progress
To show that you have completed the challenge, you’ll need to track your progress and make a note or take a photo of the distance covered at the end of each session. Once you have completed the marathon, please send us your proof and we will send you a medal in the post!
Apps such as Strava, MapMyWalk or MapMyRun, will help you track your distances or you can use your personal Fitbit, the Health app on your phone, or simply note down the distance you run or walk each day.
