Our annual Light Up A Life event in 2022 will take place on Sunday 27 November at 4.30pm. Refreshments, including mince pies and mulled wine will be available at the event.
Let’s celebrate the lives of those we want to remember together. Each winter the horse chestnut tree outside North London Hospice in Finchley is lit up with a thousand lights, each one sponsored in celebration of someone special.
On 23 October our lovely horse chestnut tree came down during a storm. The tree has been the focal point of our annual Light Up A Life ceremony. Whilst we are so relieved that nobody was injured, we understand how much this tree meant to people. This has been so evident from the lovely comments we have received.
Despite losing our tree, we are still going ahead with Light Up A Life on Sunday 27 November, as planned. As always, it will be uplifting and reflective – we look forward to seeing you.
Our Light Up A Life ceremony is one of our main fundraising events of the year and raises thousands of pounds to fund end-of-life patient care and family support in our community.
This year, Hugh Pym, BBC News Health Editor, author and journalist, will be speaking at our Light Up a Life celebration in memory of his sister-in-law Marion.
