Declan Carroll has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of North London Hospice following Pam McClinton’s decision to retire from the role after 10 years with NLH.
He joins the Hospice on Monday 3rd August after five years as CEO at Peace Hospice Care in South West Hertfordshire.
As an Enfield resident, Declan already has a good awareness of the key role NLH plays in our communities, and is excited to join the team. He said: “ “As a long term resident of North London, I am delighted to join a local charity with such an established profile, and the reputation of North London Hospice is a testament to the care and dedication demonstrated by staff and volunteers. The future will no doubt have on-going challenges but I look forward to working together with the team and the community to provide even stronger care in the future.”
Speaking of Declan’s appointment, our Chair of Trustees, Lis Burgess Jones, said: “It is reassuring to know that Pam has handed over to a capable CEO with a track record of strong, innovative leadership.”
After four years as Director of Nursing and six as CEO, Pam will be greatly missed by staff, volunteers and patients at NLH but we wish her a long and happy retirement.
