North London Hospice is launching a brand-new challenge, Big Fun Step, which runs from 1 to 31 October 2023.
Big Fun Step will see participants aiming to walk at least 10,000 steps every day during the month of October in memory of their loved ones.
The initiative is also an opportunity for participants to raise vital funds for North London Hospice, enabling us to continue to provide essential end-of-life care to people throughout Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey.

Rachel Bloom, Community Fundraising Manager at North London Hospice said: “We are excited to launch Big Fun Step this autumn. There are so many reasons to get involved including improved physical and mental health, exploring your local area, and supporting a fantastic cause.
“Whilst our care is provided free of charge, it costs over £15 million a year to keep our services going. We receive around 40% of our funding from the NHS but we rely on donations and support from our community for everything else. Without this support we simply wouldn’t be able to provide our services each year.
“So please do take part in Big Fun Step and challenge yourself to ramble, stride, or pace it this autumn and walk at least 10,000 steps every day in the month of October for a fantastic cause!”
Big Fun Step is the latest addition to North London Hospice’s Big Fun range of activities which include the hospice’s flagship fundraiser, Big Fun Walk, and the recently launched Big Fun Craft. Next year the hospice will bring its Big Fun Art Adventure to North London. Sign up for Big Fun Step here, and to keep up with the latest news and events you can sign up to our newsletter here.
