North London Hospice publishes 2024/25 Quality Account

July 1, 2025

North London Hospice has published its Quality Account 2024-25, an annual report which describes the quality of its clinical services.

The Quality Account focuses on three key areas: patient safety, the effectiveness of treatments, and patient feedback on the care provided. More importantly, it also explores the patient experience and highlights areas for improvement.

It is endorsed by the Board of Trustees as an accurate reflection of hospice services and was scrutinised externally by North London Hospice’s local authority’s Health and Overview Scrutiny Committee.

Gemma Ekkeshis, Head of Quality and Assurance at North London Hospice said:  “Our Quality Account demonstrates that throughout the last year our Patient Services staff and volunteers, supported by the wider organisation in so many ways, continue to provide safe, effective, and person-centred end-of-life care.

“For many of us it has been a year of change at the hospice as we have undergone a period of transformation. This is reflected in this year’s Quality Account; some areas we planned to develop and improve we were unable to fully meet set targets, while in other areas clear improvements to our services are demonstrated.

“We remain committed to achieving our vision which is to provide the best of life, at the end of life, for everyone.”
