Our photography group, Catching The Light, unveils fabulous 2021 Exhibition

August 16, 2021

North London Hospice’s photography group, Catching The Light, is delighted to share its brand new 2021 exhibition.

The group is made up of patients, family members, carers and bereaved relatives, all with a common creative interest in photography and their second exhibition is an eclectic mix of cityscapes, portraits, wildlife and nature images, many capturing life during the pandemic.

The 2021 exhibition is available to view online and contains interviews with the photographers about their collections of images.

The Catching the Light photography group is run by the hospice’s Health & Wellbeing Centre and as it’s Associate Director Trudi Leighton explains, it epitomises the philosophy that we strive for. “The group gives purpose, meaning and value. It offers friendship and connections, achievements and roles. Most of all it leaves a legacy.”

Professional photographer Fran was inspired by the quality of the work he viewed at the group’s first exhibition in 2019 so began to run workshops with the members and curated the new collection.

We hope to hold a live viewing of the exhibition at the Health & Wellbeing Centre later in the year.
