The weather may not have been great, but the atmosphere certainly was at our special summer gathering for North London Hospice volunteers. Held at our site in Enfield, it was an opportunity to say thank you to our volunteers who do so much to support our charity.
North London Hospice has over 600 registered volunteers working across a range of areas including in our shops, working in the community, supporting patients in our Inpatient Unit as well as helping with our many fundraising events.
In addition to delicious food and refreshments, courtesy of Signature Dining, guests were treated to a performance from the hospice’s Music For Life group – and even got the crowd joining in.
Debbie Usiskin, Volunteer Engagement Manager at North London Hospice said: “It was wonderful to welcome so many of our volunteers to our summer party. This was an opportunity to say thank you to them for all that they do. Volunteers are undoubtedly the beating heart of our charity, and we could not do what we do without them.”
We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and ages, of any faith or none. If you have time you can spare to help us achieve our vision of the best of life, at the end of life, for everyone, we’d love to hear from you. If you are interested in applying to become one of our volunteers then you can find out more on our website.
