Who will you build it for?
For Sonia, whose mum, Asha, we cared for last year, it's important that the hospice will be built to help more families like theirs.
Just like the communities of North London did 30 years ago, we need everyone to come together to help build the hospice that will be there for all in the generations to come.
I’m building it for Mum who spent her final moments in peace.
Sonia told us, "Surrounded by her husband and her family thanks to North London Hospice, it’s a comfort to know that mum's memory will live on in the redeveloped Inpatient Unit. I hope more families will be able to experience the same love and support that we did."

Why rebuild?
Having not been significantly altered for 30 years, our Inpatient Unit had become outdated and unable to offer the peace and tranquillity that sets our hospice care apart.
Our Inpatient Unit needs to be redeveloped to create the comfort and care our patients deserve.
Bigger rooms will make it easier for staff to bring equipment to patients making the delivery of clinical and personal care more practical and comfortable.
Patients visits won't be so limited or cramped. With spaces that can be comfortably shared, wheelchairs can move more freely and precious loved ones will be able to stay close by with overnight stays.
A dedicated entrance away from the reception and café, will provide privacy and dignity for new arrivals.
With direct access to our gardens or courtyard from all rooms, everyone will be able to enjoy the benefits of sunshine and fresh air.
Air conditioning will keep everyone cool during stiflingly hot summers.
We are immensely proud of the care we provide for our patients and wider community every year. However, our building is now holding us back. Our patients and their loved ones deserve better.

How much will it cost?
The total building project will cost £10.3 million.
We have already raised just over £8 million through a mixture of major donors, trusts and private sponsors as well as some government funding.
Now we are asking for the support of our community to help raise the final £1.7 million needed to complete the rebuild and open an Inpatient Unit that's fit for the future.

Our Inpatient Unit has temporarily moved to Edgware Community Hospital
On 1 July our Inpatient Unit, based at 47 Woodside Avenue, closed to the public for a rebuild and our inpatient services temporarily relocated to Jade Ward at Edgware Community Hospital.
