Jack Morgan 5-a-side football tournament raises more than £5000
The 2024 Jack Morgan 5-a-side Football Tournament has raised more than £5000 for North London Hospice. Jack Morgan was just 22 when he passed from a rare form of cancer in August 2019. He had become an inspiration to thousands of people across the world as he documented his cancer journey on social media.
Jack’s friend, Teddie Levenfiche, organised the tournament in his memory, which has raised over £15,000 for the hospice since it started. Teddie is pictured here alongside Jack’s dad, Grant.
20 teams competed at Powerleague in Mill Hill for the coveted JMO trophy on Sunday 20 October, and in doing so, helped to raise vital funds for our charity. There is still time to donate on Just Giving – every little helps!
The competition was won by Team Gooey who took home the trophy – watch the video of them celebrating on our YouTube channel.
Jack’s family have continued to support the hospice over the years and his father, Grant Morgan, played an influential role in the charity’s recent Big Fun Art Adventure. Grant said: “Through Jack, our family experienced the exceptional care and devotion of the hospice, and we made a promise to support this amazing charity going forward.
“This second football tournament in Jack’s name was a wonderfully fitting tribute to him, and in addition to us gathering to continue to celebrate his life, it was also a fantastic opportunity to raise money for the hospice. We know times are tough for everyone, but that’s also true for charities too and I am delighted that we were able to both support them and honour Jack in this way.”
