Light Up A Life is an opportunity to remember and celebrate the people whose light still shines on.
For many years, Light Up A Life has been a much-loved tradition for the North London Hospice family and wider community, bringing people together to honour, remember and celebrate those who hold a special place in their hearts. It is a chance to reflect on cherished memories, meaningful connections and the lasting impact of loved ones who are no longer with us. Through shared remembrance, we come together to celebrate lives well lived, find comfort in community, and honour the bonds that continue to shape and inspire us every day.
But this year, due to our rebuild, Light Up A Life will will need to take a slightly different form.
A Special Installation at Brent Cross
As North London Hospice undergoes an exciting redevelopment to create a new state-of-the-art Inpatient Unit for our community, we are bringing our annual tribute to a new location. In partnership with Brent Cross Shopping Centre, we are creating a unique remembrance installation made up of heartfelt dedications from our community.
Every dedication shared will form part of a beautiful display, celebrating lives lived, memories treasured, and the enduring love that remains.

Visit the installation & dedicate a heart in memory of someone special
Our team will be on hand throughout the installation to welcome visitors, share information about Light Up A Life, and provide opportunities to make additional dedications in person.
Your message will become part of our collective display, joining hundreds of others in a powerful tribute to the people we hold close in our hearts.
Together, these dedications will create a lasting symbol of remembrance, reflection and community.

In memory of someone specialA pre-recorded reflection led by our Spiritual Care Coordinator, Simon Rowbory, will be available online, allowing you to pause, remember and feel connected wherever you are.

However, taking part in Light Up A Life is completely free and everyone is welcome to dedicate a heart, regardless of whether they make a donation.
