Set in the heart of the Moroccan Sahara Desert, this extraordinary journey combines awe-inspiring landscapes, expert guidance and shared moments that will stay with you forever.

Your Sahara Steps Journey
Join a small team of like-minded adventurers and experience the desert in a way few ever do.

• Walk, camp and explore alongside our community, with a dedicated hospice companion supporting you every step of the way

You will be supported throughout the journey by professional English-speaking Berber guides, whose deep knowledge of the desert, local culture, and trekking routes is invaluable. They are first-aid trained and will be with you every step of the way to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
In addition, you will be accompanied by a support team, including cooks and camel handlers who transport the camp equipment and supplies. A Different Travel Company UK tour manager will also travel with the group to provide further support and ensure the trip runs smoothly from start to finish.
You will also be accompanied by a dedicated hospice companion supporting you every step of the way.

The 6 day breakdown
Day 1:
Depart the UK and fly to Marrakech. On arrival, travel across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate (approx. 4 hours). Once there, you will have dinner and an overnight stay in a local hotel.
Day 2:
An early start to travel further south, into the arid scenery of the Sahara desert. After lunch, you will meet up with your trekking team, consisting of local Berber guides and their camels, and start the trek.
Day 3 & 4:
Spend 2 complete days out in the Sahara, with only your other trekkers and the support team for company! Each day you will walk at the pace of the camels, passing mile after mile or natural beauty. Each night camp is set up under the stars
Day 5:
A final trek back to the village where you will bid farewell to your team of camels and the local Berbers, and head back overland to Marrakech where you'll enjoy a celebratory dinner tonight!
Day 6:
Some free time this morning to explore the exotic city of Marrakech before flying back to the UK (subject to flight times)
