    Big Fun Craft

Big Fun Craft is back! Knit, sew or crochet every day this March to help raise funds for North London Hospice.
The Big Fun Craft logo is written in yellow on a blue background with the letter i in the word big represented by a ball of wool with kniting needles

    Big Fun Craft is back!

North London Hspice staff and volunteers with a stack of wool on a table

This March, we’re inviting you to get crafty for a cause by spending one hour a day crafting throughout the month.

Knit it, stitch it, crochet it - however you craft, you’ll be helping North London Hospice provide compassionate end of life care when it’s needed most.

A scene is shown made out of crochet including a table with some balls of wool on it and some people sat at the table with cups of tea

We suggest a fundraising target of £150.

Every stitch really does make a difference.

£24.50 - could help fund an Associate Community Nurse to deliver one hour of care to a patient in their own home.

£102.50 could fund the drugs used on our IPU to keep patients pain free for 24 hours.

Â£183.75 could pay for a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient unit for a day.

    Get Crafty!

Get those knitting needles or crochet hooks ready and get crafting, starting from 1 March.

Share your journey. Let your friends and family know you are taking on Big Fun Craft 2026. Shout it from the rooftops on your social media and share your fundraising page.

Donate or sell what you make.

Here are a few ideas that would be especially welcome:

A nurse holds a patients hand over a knitted red blanket on the hospice bed

    Blankets

Our Inpatient Unit has asked for blankets that patients can use during their stay, with the option for families to take them home as a keepsake - a meaningful connection and memory.

A patchwork blanket made up of knitted squares sits on top of a hospice bed

    Patchwork blankets or knitted squares

These will be used to decorate large letters that spell ‘NLH’ in our retail spaces.
