We are delighted to have opened our second shop in the London Borough of Camden on Saturday 16 May. The new store, on Kentish Town Road is the hospice’s 21st shop to open.

The opening is part of an ambitious programme of expansion in retail and represents an exciting new chapter for the hospice as we also expand our free patient care into the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington.

Located between Camden Town and Hampstead Heath, Kentish Town offers an eclectic mix of shops and cafes. The new hospice store in Kentish Town is not only a fantastic place to shop and for customers to bag a bargain but also gives local people an opportunity to support a charity built by the community for the community.

Around a third of our running costs come from the NHS with donations and the hospice’s shops making up the shortfall. North London Hospice’s shops generate more than £5.3 million in vital income for the charity which has been caring for people since 1984.

Peter Brook, Director of Retail at North London Hospice said: "We are delighted to continuing our expansion in the London Borough of Camden. We are excited to be bringing our retail offering to people in Kentish Town.

“Our shops are so much more than stores, they are a place where the community can come together. We are especially proud that our charity is the first multi-faith hospice, reflecting the diversity and inclusivity that truly matter. It is therefore fitting that we are expanding our retail footprint in Kentish Town, with its diversity and deep sense of community.”

The new store will play a vital role in funding the free care and support the hospice provides every day to people across North London to those living with or facing an end-of-life diagnosis. Previously only available to residents of Barnet, Enfield & Haringey, the hospice is committed to reaching as many people as possible who need their expert care and is pleased to now provide the North Central London Palliative Advice Team, a dedicated out-of-hours telephone advice service to residents of Camden and Islington.
