Our annual Light Up A Life event in 2023 will take place on Sunday 26 November from 4.30pm (ceremony begins at 5:00pm). Refreshments, including mince pies, doughnuts and mulled wine will be available at the event.
Light Up A Life is a time to reflect on the cherished moments we shared and find strength by coming together to experience the compassion, companionship and community of the hospice with people who have had similar experiences of losing loved ones.
Let’s celebrate the lives of those we want to remember together. This year we will once again have a beautiful memorial tree outside North London Hospice in Finchley that will be lit up with a thousand lights, each one sponsored in celebration of someone special.
Our Light Up A Life ceremony is one of our main fundraising events of the year and raises thousands of pounds to fund end-of-life patient care and family support in our community.

Make a dedication
Dedicate a Light: We invite you to make a dedication to someone special. Share a few words, a special memory and photograph that can be shared with family and friends.To create your personal dedication, please visit our online Light Up A Life tribute page.
The Book of Lights: In addition to the online dedication, we will create a physical Book of Lights at our hospice that serves as a lasting memorial to those we have cared for. This book holds the collective dedications and serves as a beautiful tribute to our patients. You’re welcome to visit the hospice at any time to view and find solace in the heartfelt tributes within the Book of Lights. Your dedication will be added and available to view throughout 2024.
