Patient and Carer Voice Partners

We’d love to hear from you

At North London Hospice, your voice matters. Whether you’ve experienced our care in the community, in our Inpatient Unit or in one of our Retail charity shops, your feedback helps shape the way we deliver our services.

Your lived experience can guide us as we improve existing services or introduce new ones. By sharing your insights, you help ensure our care truly reflects the needs of those we support.

Thanks to the input of patients and carers and customers, we’ve already co-designed several services and resources, including:

  • Palliative Care Support Service (PCSS) Overnight Service
  • Care Co-ordination Centre
  • Grief Café
  • Policies and patient and carer resources

Ways to get involved

If you’d like to help shape the future of North London Hospice, there are three ways you can get involved as a Patient, Carer or Customer Voice Partner:

  1. Join the User Engagement Group

This group meets every 4–6 weeks and includes staff from both clinical and non-clinical teams. Hearing directly from patients, carers and retail customers helps us understand what we’re doing well—and where we can do better.

  1. Join the Patient Voices Group (PVG)

The PVG brings together people who have used our services to work on specific improvement projects. Meetings are arranged based on your availability and can be held online or in person. The group is supported by our Patient Experience Team.

  1. Join the Involvement Register

If regular meetings aren’t for you, the Involvement Register offers flexible, one-off opportunities to contribute. You might be invited to:

  • Take part in a focus group
  • Review patient information leaflets
  • Help us recruit for a new role
  • Review a policy or standard operating procedure
