What to Donate
In line with Government advice, our 18 shops throughout North London are temporarily closed and our Home Collections Service is currently suspended. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. In the meantime if you would like information on what and how to donate when we reopen, please read below. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
We welcome all saleable items.
- Books, records, DVDs & CDs
- Clothes, bags & shoes
- Crockery, glass & bric-a-brac
- Small electrical goods
If you have a lot to donate please contact us on 020 8343 6813 and we can arrange for collection.
If you wish to donate larger items or would like to arrange a house clearance, please speak to our retail department on 020 8343 6813. They will be able to collect your goods.*
*Please note that we can only accept soft furnishings that carry a fire retardant label.
Volunteer with us
Our volunteers are the backbone of our Hospice. All our shops employ just one member of staff, the rest of the team is made up of dedicated volunteers.
We’re always looking for new volunteers, who can spare at least a couple of hours a week, so why not visit our volunteer page to find out if it’s right for you.
Here are just some of the things that our shop volunteers do on a daily basis:
- Customer service
- Window dressing
- Sorting through and pricing stock
- Collecting and delivering furniture
- Pressing and ironing
If you have a particular knowledge of antiques and books we would love your help pricing up new items!
Please do not leave your donations outside the shops when we are closed. We will be unable to sell them and you will be taking up our volunteers’ valuable time, as they will have to deal with them.
