Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the questions we get asked most about fundraising for North London Hospice

All our care is free and it costs £13 million to fund our vital services each year. With only 40% of our funding coming from the NHS, we need to raise the rest through fundraising. We spend 81p of every £1 raised directly on our care.

At least 95% of the money you raise on JustGiving goes directly to North London Hospice.

Gift Aid is a scheme that allows charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, which means your donation will be worth 25% more to us at no extra cost to you. If you haven’t signed up to Gift Aid, get in touch and ask to register.

Your JustGiving page will stay open for at least 3 months after your event, so please do continue fundraising during this time. If you wish to continue fundraising after 3 months, you are able to extend the time via the JustGiving website.

Pay in your money online, by bank transfer, over the phone or by post.

Absolutely! All you need to do is head over to the North London Hospice JustGiving page and click “Fundraise for us”. Alternatively, contact us directly and receive support from our Fundraising Team.

For events organised solely by North London Hospice, your registration fee only covers the cost of running the event. This is why we do ask you to fundraise if you can.

We’ve got plenty of new fundraising resources and materials that we hope will help you with your fundraising. Please see above for a list of available resources.

You can find our downloadable sponsorship form, here on our fundraising resources page.
