Overnight Service Clinical Nurse Specialist (Palliative Care)
AfC Band 7 – £27,468 – £30,836pa inclusive of HCA

The North London Hospice has been providing palliative and end of life care for the communities of North London since 1984. We have an 18 bed in-patient unit providing hospice care for those with life limiting illnesses. There are three friendly community teams of specialist nurses, doctors, consultants, social workers and allied professionals who support individuals at home, in the 3 North London Boroughs of Barnet Enfield and Haringey. We also provide an overnight CNS service and have access to nurses and carers to support people at home.
The Post
This post involves working within a multi-disciplinary team offering specialist palliative advice to patients and professionals (GPs, London Ambulance Service and District Nurses) out of hours 20.00 – 08.00. In addition to providing advice and support the overnight nurses visit where indicated and support the nurses and healthcare assistants working from our Palliative Care Support Service in patients homes. All CNSs will have the opportunity to develop their skills to become non- medical prescribers and support is available for ongoing professional development.
What are we seeking?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled individual who is a team player, passionate about palliative care and understands the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist. Ideally you will have experience in specialist palliative care and/or Oncology and are an excellent communicator who really wants to make a difference.
A car owner and driver is essential. The role includes weekend work (Saturday or Sunday)
