North London Hospice receives £12,500 from Proms At St Jude’s 2023 Festival

August 16, 2023

Thank you to the organisers and supporters of Proms at St Jude’s who presented North London Hospice with a cheque for £12,500 this week from funds raised at the 2023 community arts festival.

North London Hospice has been a beneficiary of the two-week summer festival of music, literary talks, comedy and heritage walks in Hampstead Garden Suburb since its inception in 1993.

Members of our hospice team spoke about the many areas of our charity’s work to audiences gathered for the world class musical performances and literary talks, and to educate on the importance of good palliative and end-of-life care in our North London community.

Thank you to 15 of our own volunteers who also supported the events across the two weeks in June/July.

The money donated will be put towards providing specialist care for more than 3,500 patients being supported by North London Hospice this year.

Anna Cooper, Director of Fundraising at North London Hospice, said: “Thank you to all those who donated. Your generosity will have a huge impact on the care we can provide to those needing support at the end of their lives. We are of course hugely grateful to continue to be a beneficiary of this wonderful festival, but also to have the opportunity to spread the word about the benefits and importance of hospice care in our community.”

We were delighted to welcome Kate, Susie and Niamh from Proms to our Head Office in Finchley this week. Pictured here with our Director of Fundraising & Engagement, Anna Cooper (far right) and Head of Fundraising, Pippa Baker (far left).
