New out-of-hours telephone advice service

February 1, 2023

North London Hospice has launched a new telephone advice service which will provide a single point of access for patients, carers, and professionals.

The new service, the North Central London (NCL) Palliative Advice Team (NCLPAT), has been launched in partnership with the North Central London (NCL) Integrated Care Board (ICB), and the London Central & West Unscheduled Care Collaborative (LCW UCC).

North London Hospice is the lead provider of the service which will enable users to access telephone support, help, advice, and onward referrals to other appropriate services if required.

The telephone service will operate out-of-hours, Monday-Sunday between 8pm and 8am across the London boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden, and Islington.

Declan Carroll, Chief Executive at North London Hospice said: “I am delighted that we are working in collaboration with our partners to deliver this new service across five London boroughs. This service will enable patients to manage their own conditions in their own communities, but it will also support our community teams to deliver care with additional specialist advice, both of which will improve patient experience.”

The North Central London Palliative Advice Team can be reached on 020 8125 3252.
