SOS - Support our Out of Hours Service Appeal
North London Hospice’s Out of Hours Service needs your URGENT help to keep it going.
Our patients and families need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Just because it’s the middle of the night doesn’t mean the need decreases; for many people that’s when they need us most. North London Hospice’s Out of Hours Service gives people the reassurance and support they need, when they need it most. But there’s a risk that this lifeline could run out of the funding it needs to stay open by November.
It costs £74 an hour to run our service each night and a donation of any size will make all the difference.
Getting people the support they need, when they need it.
Our rapid response overnight service runs from 5pm to 9am. It means that patients can access the urgent support they need, when they need it, completely free of charge.
- Demand for this out-of-hours support has risen by 316% over the last 12 months.
- Our services save the NHS an estimated £1.7million by preventing expensive and unnecessary hospital admissions.
- Each person who uses our service is someone who doesn’t need to call an ambulance and face a lengthy hospital admission – and we know that many of these patients want to be cared for at home.
